RUN FOR THE WALL XXII
CALIFORNIA TO WASHINGTON DC
2010
22 YEARS OF HONOR
Riding in Freedom for Those Who Can't
Southern Route Coordinator – Ray “Too Tall” McDowell – 432-413-6666
At 8:00 am on Wednesday, May 19, 2010 veterans from all wars and their supporters will leave from the Victoria Gardens Mall at the junction of I-15 and Foothill Blvd (R-66) in Rancho Cucamonga, CA on their annual pilgrimage across the heartland of America. Most will be riding motorcycles. Our mission is to create a groundswell of support for American PRISONERS OF WAR and MISSING IN ACTION from all wars and to help those injured by war to heal. This 10 day, cross-country journey will include ceremonies with veterans and civic organizations, visits to war memorials, visits with VA hospital patients and other significant stops to make sure our POW-MIA's are remembered.
We require you start your journey with RFTW from a designated morning departure site. It is also required that you register to ride with RFTW. Registration will generally be offered each morning before the Morning Rider’s Meeting and each evening when the riders arrive at the day’s destination. THERE IS A $10.00 REGISTRATION FEE TO RIDE WITH RFTW. Through the generosity of many people, we may have free meals, gas, camping, etc. at some stops. However, each participant is responsible for all personal expenses. Support and chase vehicles are available for break-downs at no cost. Your purchase of merchandise, 50-50 drawings, and donations provide the funds for this support. Check out our web site at http://www.rftw.org. Contact the state coordinator with lodging questions.
At registration you will receive your personal Arm Band and an ID Strip to be placed on your motorcycle. You will also be given a medical form and lanyard to be filled out and placed around your neck to help in the event of an accident. DAILY ATTENDANCE AT EACH MORNING RIDER’S MEETING IS MANDATORY in order that all become familiar with the riding protocol, hand signals and any possible changes in the day's itinerary.
In Washington, DC, on Memorial Day Sunday, our group will unite with other riders from all over the country to form Rolling Thunder XXIII, a “Welcome Home” and “We Have Not Forgotten” Parade from the Pentagon to the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial – “THE WALL”. Each year over 500,000 bikes participate. We will not go away until everyone is home! COME SHOW YOUR SUPPORT.

Subject: Arlington Hotel Reservation Information
Below is the information you will need to obtain reservations in Arlington Virginia at our destination. They are not available for reservations until January 1, 2010. DC Coordinator does not make reservations for you.
You must be sure to use the appropriate web links, email address or phone number provided and ask for “Run For The Wall 2010 Rates” so that you will receive the proper rate and we receive credit against our contract. If you need to cancel, you must do so before the cut off date so that others can use the reserved block.
