On Wednesday May 15, 2013 “RUN FOR THE WALL” and our supporters will depart Rancho Cucamonga, CA on our annual pilgrimage across the Heartland of America.

Our Mission to promote healing among ALL veterans and their families and friends, to call for an accounting of all our Prisoners of War (POW) and those Killed in Action (KIA) from all wars, and to support our military personnel all over the world celebrates its 25th Year. This is something of which we should all be proud.  However, rather than be proud, on this 25th Anniversary we should all re-dedicate ourselves to the above Mission and ensure our fellow Countrymen and women never forget those that willingly and voluntarily placed themselves in harm’s way to preserve the ideals of our Great Nation.

This 10-day journey will include ceremonies with Veterans and civic organizations. We will also visit war memorials, schools, and make other significant stops to insure that our POW-MIA’s are remembered. During our journey we will also visit our hospitalized Brothers and Sisters at VA medical centers and care centers. 

We require you to start your journey with RFTW from a designated morning departure site.  It is also required that you register to ride with RFTW.  Registration will generally be offered each morning before the Morning Rider’s Briefing and each evening when the riders arrive at the day’s destination.  THERE IS A $30.00 ON-LINE PRE-REGISTRATION FEE or a $40.00 ON SITE REGISTRATION FEE TO RIDE WITH RFTW.

Through the generosity of people and organizations, many meals, gas stops, and camping, etc., are donated during our Mission.  However, each participant is responsible for all personal expenses.  Support and chase vehicles are available for break-downs at no cost to the riders.  Your purchase of merchandise, participation in 50/50 drawings, and donations provide the funds for this support. 

At registration you will receive your personal Wrist band and an ID Strip to be placed on your motorcycle. Additionally, you will be given a medical form that must be filled out and placed in the plastic packet (provided) and place around your neck during the RUN to help in the event of an emergency.  Each morning a mandatory Rider’s Briefing will be conducted – these briefings are MANDATORY.  Additionally, a daily FNG briefing will be held for those new to Run For The Wall.  These briefings are MANDATORY to ensure that all participants become familiar with our riding protocol, hand signals and possible changes in the day’s itinerary.

DC Coordinator, Carl Hinkle, has contracted with an additional hotel in Arlington.  The hotel will begin taking reservations from April 1, 2013 through April 30, 2013.  We only have 30 rooms available at the RFTW rate of $119.00 for a suite & breakfast, however, if additional folks call within the 30 day period, the hotel will try and honor the RFTW rate.  Parking will be $10.00 day.
