If anyone is interested I am making these Purple Heart patches available to Riders and friends of Run For The Wall.  Each one will be individually created with the action date if it is for the award recipient, or the date with a name if you wish to wear it for a serviceman or woman who received the award.
 
Let me know the exact copy you want on the patch, remember space is limited- I will do my best to make it look perfect.
 
 
The cost is $10 each, shipped to your home.  If shipped to a California residence,  add 7.75% sales tax.

My Straggler group adopted a military family again this year to help with Christmas, we got stuff for the family and delivered it on the day before Christmas- it makes the holiday so much richer for all of us!
 
Sgt. Torres is a Marine who, when the explosion flashed and the dust was swirling, lost both legs.  A young man with a lovely wife and baby- he's back in the states but a soldier through and through.  We made him a member of our group (the rules are pretty loose...) and put the award for which he paid so dearly on a center patch- but it gave me an idea. 
 
There is always a story when someone has that award- usually one that some apathetic civilian needs to hear.
 
It is as loud and clear a message that freedom isn't free.

Tom....are you still in contact with Sgt Torres? I believe he was one of the Matines I sent a retired colonel to talk with once he returned to the states at Bethesda. If I remember right I think he was with 3/4 scout snipers. Either way if you are still in touch with him I'd live to drop him a line!

MorningTom. Haven't been on the form for a couple of days now, but saw your Perple Heart message! I would be great full and very honored if you could make a patch for me.
Would you be able to squeeze "Khe Sanh- Feb/14/67on it or is there not going to be enough room??
If there is not enough room than Feb/14/67 would be fine.

Yes I can make the patch with the date and location- could you clarify how you want it to read exactly?  Send an email to my  tomcameron@cox.net  address, which also is my PayPal. 
 
I don't think I have your address to send the patch, so send me that privately too.  For the date, how about the day the bomb went off, and where you were on that date?

Tom, just ordered a couple of patches in honor of my uncle who died when his submarine was attacked during Pearl Harbor. Pay Pal sent to you also. Let me know if you can't fit all the data on the patch.

Here's a testament of Sidewalk's quality patches.  I have had a couple patches made by him that surpass the quality of any patch I have purchased.  He makes custom "one off" patches.  If you need a patch (large or small); Raggtopp Designs is my recommendation.

Just received a Purple Heart patch from Tom.  Trust me the picture does not do it justice.  The patch is outstanding.  Quality is first rate.
