All is on track for the RFTW Family day at American Legion Post 149 in Escondido, Poker Crawl, Steak Lunch, 50/50, prizes, 911 Memorial dedication @ Post, Smokes Birthday celebration and most important, RFTW family get together.
I will post start locations to ride down here very soon, most likely from other American Legion Posts.

Danny Lopresto sent out a correction to his email for Saturday, Feb 12. Danny should be contacting someone with a headcount for the Southbay RFTW participants. He was working with our RFTW family at Vance Scott's memorial service.

What time are we meeting at the American Legion in Escondido? I'll be coming from Corona after breakfast at Hunny's. Probably make a pit stop at the H-D dealer in Temecula. After we meet in Escondido, I may take the 5 North to the Ortega Hwy & over the mountain with a stop at Hell's Kitchen. Will take the 15 to the 91 split where Terry heads east and I go to the west (Long Beach) otherwise I could take the 5 to the 405 North...decisions/decisions. BTW if the weather is anything like the current 9 day forecast, we're in for some bright sunny days.
I kept thinking of the American Legion in Escondido and knew I'd been there but couldn't remember the event. Then it dawned on me that I rode in an organized ride from Fullerton H-D to the Post for a 9-11 Rememberance Ride in 2004.

 Update for the RFTW family going to the American Legion in Escondido, Starts @ 12 Noon with "Cook your own Rib Eye Steak" (We can do it for you if you wish), a Poker Crawl around the Post, many great prizes and a 50/50. We will unvail a monument to 911 and have Smokes 88th Birthday at around 3 PM. Cost for the whole thing is $20.00, eat, t-shirt & poker hand or eat = $12,
t-shirt = $12, poker hands $5 and prize tickets = 1 for $1 or 6 for $5.
Any way come on down, we have plenty to eat, drink & be merry.
Directions get on I-5 or I-15 north or south and go to SR-78 in Oceanside or Escondido, go East to Broadway in Escondido, turn right 3 blocke to Park Ave and turn left (only way) at the "Food 4 Less and down Park Ave on the left is us!!!!
Park on both sides of Post 149 for bikes and cages and come on in, sign up and have a great time and meet some new friends and some FNG's also.

Danny Lopresto and the Southbay RFTW group have had a change of plans and will be visiting the USS Midway in San Diego. If they have time after their visit, they'll swing by Escondido. About a half dozen Vietnam vets from the Long Beach VA Hospital area plan to ride down to Escondido and join in the festivities (they may not had been on the original "headcount"). 4 of the riders have been on RFTW (and are going again this year).

A couple people paid for "Hell's Kitchen" patches, then never contacted me so I could send them out. If that's you, be there on Saturday and I'll have the patches with me.
Weather channel said 79 degrees and sunny for Saturday's weather.... ooooh, yeah!!
