Guzzler,   We understand. Sometimes we just have conflicting commitments. Ride safe and we'll see you in May.

GATOR,

As you suggested, I will probably take them down 281.  More Dairy Queens for SLAMMER on 281, but I think he wants to stop at Horny Toad Harley Davidson in Temple.  Either way we go I just hope we don't run into any Mini Coopers along the way.

Dutch,   If we go thru Temple and cut west at Belton to Lampassas, pick up 281 South to Burnet we can accomplish both plus have the Dairy Queens for Slammer.

Gator must have been reading my mind. I know, that's a short story and easy reading.Ouch

I like the idea if eating at Cooper's. Just be careful how much you order. It is easy to order way more than you can eat but they still want you to pay for all that you order.

It's an easy ride of about 70 miles from Llano into Kerrville afterward if that is what we decide to do.

Casper,  You are such a thoughtful friend. I doubt that any leftovers would be wasted if we did manage to show up with some.

Quinn is looking forward to riding in Sir Dutch's Lost Patrol from Dallas to Kerrville.  I volunteer to   be part of the Mini Cooper / Dairy Queen Early Warning System.  Perhaps we can shield Slammer from the "pesky little devils"!

GATOR,

Be glad to have you!  I'll let you know about what time we should be
at Coopers.  Depends on what time we pick up Slammer here in Dallas.

Dutch,
When are you planning on riding to Kerrville?  I have a FNG that wants to ride with someone.  He's from Ringgold and i thought we could met you someone.  Do you know when Polly is planning on riding down?

STONEWALL,

Plans are to leave Friday Morning Sept. 17.  Exact time is unknown but I suspect
around 0900 hrs from North Dallas.  Everyone is welcome.  So far about 8 riders
from the Dallas area.  More details when SLAMMER firms up his travel plans.

Don't know if Polly will go or not.

We are leaving Thursday morning from Beaumont, TX area, going to try to stop and see Piper's Dome.  We have a ride planned for lunch on Friday to Cooper's BBQ.  So what time do you guys think you will be coming thru Llano on Friday to have lunch at Cooper's?

CHICKEN JOE,

This is only a guess, but I would estimate around 1300 to 1400 hrs.
Slammer wants to stop at Horny Toad Harley Davidson in Temple
on the way.  Email me at:  dnstevens@tx.rr.com and give me your cell
number.  I can call you when we get to Temple and give you a better
Llano arrival time.
