Just saw a pic of the new electric motorcycle - the MotoCzysz E1PC. (built by Michael Czysz) It has a custom-built 12.5-kilowatt-hour lithium polymer battery that can be changed out in seconds. The custom-built, oil-cooled motor generates 100 horsepower (continuous) and 250 pound-feet of torque. It all hangs from a custom frame. The bike hits a top speed of 140 mph and lapped a 37.7-mile course at an average speed of 94.66 mph. No ground-clearance issues when leaning into a turn. Wonder if we'll see one in RFTW 2011.

I have been quite up to now.  WHY! WHY! WHY!  Reading the information on the link it says the batteries weigh 19.5 lbs. and can easily be changed out.  OK, I looked and I saw no room to haul extra batteries.  If we do see one on RFTW 2011 you can bet it will be followed by a huge truck full of spare batteries or maybe we should watch out for that extension cord in the road.

CR Fuel Crew will know what it is and won't need to "handle it".  Thumbs Up

How will they know what to do?  They won't even hear it come'in.  Growing up I used to race slot cars.  Anyone else that has will know that sound.  You think a wing is quite.  Gheez.

Sound?  That's easy.  Just a clothespin and a playing card rubbing on the spokes.

Voila, it's a Harley.

Best to keep the electric sparks away from the fueling crew...

Sidewalk, I had forgot about the card and clothespin trick.  Did that many times on the old spider bike.  Wow it's amazing how one short phrase can bring back such a flood of memories.

By the way,  Thank you for the name patch.  Hope you were able to get the rest of them passed out.  It was a pleasure meeting you and hope to see you next year.  General & I have made our reservation in Kerrville for the reunion.  The reunion is the weekend before Bikes Blues and BBQ or Beer Babes & Blues in Fayetteville, Ark.  So I am thinking we will head that way for the next weekend.  For anyone that is interested the rally in Fayetteville is Sept. 22, 23, 24 & 25.

I was pretty mild mannered as a kid but once the card was clipped to the frame I was HELL ON WHEELS! You could her me tearing a trail across the whole neighborhood. Your right G.D., a whole flash of silly memories.

Sidewalk, thanks from me also for the Name Tag. That was a very special and totally unexpected gift. Hope all's well with you and before long we cross paths again.

Only 40 miles??

There's already a "cruiser" being made that gets around 140.

And some all electric cars that get almost 200.

Too bad the smaller companies get lost in the failures of the Big Auto Giants.
