I would like to get a replacement volunteer form from RFTW for 2011.  My wife and I worked on the CR Fuel Team in 3011 and 2012.  We are amending the 2011 tax returns and our tax guy says we need the letter from RFTW showing we were in fact, working on the Run.  Anyone know where I can get one? Thanks!

Make that 2012, not 3012!  Big smile

Try your RC or your Fuel Team Leader.

The Fuel Team leader was all out of the forms.  So far, the original 2011 leadership doesn't appear to have any idea where to get the forms.  Does anyone happen to have one laying around?

Try the BOD maybe they can help. I never got one for 2011 but did not know that they existed until this year when I got one.

you ONLY really need the form IF you get audited....  your tax man is just covering your and his butt.... still, only will need it foran Audit...

I re-did my taxes for Medical payments,,  only sent in a two page paper with Numbers on it...  Of course, I had everything to back up my numbers, but all they want is the form and numbers...

If I'm not mistaken, this is the first year that an actual letter has been issued.  In previous years, the Certificate of Appreciation for those that worked jobs on the Run sufficed... it's still up to the individual to report actual mileage and cost of lodging.  Meal costs are claimed on a standard per diem.  All costs are deductable, including those incurred traveling to Rancho, and home from D.C.

I was told that even the cost of preparing your bike for the trip was deductible. ie: oil change, tires, etc.
