Never have had a problem with thief on the run every one looks after each other and their stuff but by bike cover keep noisy people from messy with your bike and maybe some kids climbing on it

I purchased a Lojack early warning system back in 2010 when I got my 2010 Trike. Just received a e-mail notifying me that a law suite settlement had been reached with Lojack for motorcycles 2006 to 2011 that have their warning system. There is a refund option available. All claims must be in by June 6, 2012. So check your e-mail and if you need the web site just drop me a message at pestrada52@gmail.com

I have only done the Run twice so not a lot of experience here, but both times road home by myself.  First time camping, second in hotels.  I have the Harley alarm and it never went off.  I do put on on front disk lock and rain cover when I am by myself.

I've has success with two methods:

I use a front disc lock, making it impossible to roll the bike, and second: I always park beside a bike that is more expensive and has more gadgets than mine!

We will be riding a trike so it is either LoJack or front wheel lock.

I read were a lot of you use the front disc lock and you feel that your bike is safe and perhaps or maybe can't be moved: WRONG--All you need is a SKATE BOARD to put under the front tire and away you go. A policeman (a friend) told me this. If they want the bike they will find a way to get it. All you can do is make your bike as secure as you can get it. That is all you can doThumbs Up

I have heard the skateboard trick before. They also use furniture dolly's and put one under the front and on under the back and roll the whole thing into a pickup bed. Takes less than a minute to be gone. That is why I am thinking LoJack or something similar.

I have a Lo Jack on my trike. I wonder who would steal a trike and what would they use to hale it. Hale it .....You would have to start it, and wake everybody up,and drive it off. You never know. I just don't worry about it. If it is going to get stollen then it is and if not then I can ride it one more time.  Big smile

I HAVE ALWAYS TENT CAMPED ON THE RUN--N SLEPT NEXT TO MINE. BUT WHEN AT FUNCTIONS I WULD LOCK THE FORKS DOWN . NEVER HAD MINE BOTHERED ON THE RUN. WAS OUT RIDING THE COUNTRY SIDE N STOPPED AT A MOM N POP DINER--SOME ONE PARKED NEXT TO MY BIKE N CUT THE SADDLE BAG OFF ONE SIDE N MADE OFF WITH IT. MY BEST RAIN GEAR N TIRE REPAIR WAS IN IT. GO FIGURE??!!  IF THEY REALLY WANT IT--THEY WILL GET IT. JUST DO THE BEST YA CAN.

Bottom line, use common sence and be diligent in protecting your belongings. Does not matter where or when, if some thief wants something of yours and the scum bag has the knowledge he/they will get your belongings. Is it may yet? See you soon.

I have in the past carried a wireless driveway alarm, put it in the saddle bag at night, if the bike moves or the bag is opened it goes off. It is a motion sensor, that sends a signal to the wireless receiver I take into the hotel room with me. Heavy wind will set it off though. They can be found at the big box home improvement stores, really inexpensive, just helps me sleep better at night. And only once have I run out of the room in my undershorts in the middle of the night, hard to conceal the handgun in that attire. heheheheh

Back a few years, would just roll the bike in a motel room for the night if the weather was bad and couldn't camp.
