Skillet - illustrations of the hand signals will be in the April newsletter. They will also be demonstrated at the FNG meeting in RC, and also at every morning riders' meeting along the way.
Never forget!

They will be printed on the back of the minute-to minute, gone over in the FNG meeting Tuesday amd every morning at the Mandatory Riders meeting.  These morning meetins are important, in that any changes or heads up on HWY conditions will be addressed,

I just spent the morning at recruiting offices, I got the same song a dance from all here in my area, they wanted to know how it would benefit their recruiting numbers.  No money in budget. yada yada.  I hope any one else who tries has better luck.

Having spent 15 years in recruiting, they are not giving a song and dance when it comes to the hand outs, with the cuts in the military spending the first one that is cut in recruiting is marketing. Ever wonder why you don't see as many recruiting commercials the budget cuts affects what they can hand out. If you can locate the recruiting squadron in the area the might be able to help....

I will be out and about in the next day or two.  With the Gov budget the way it is, I don't doubt they have little to give.  When I posted, I was a little hot that they were more concerned about how many 18 to 20s they could sign up, rather than the good will.  I will see if I can locate some other recruiters that have a different mentality.

Is there a registration at every overnight stop?  If we decided to go the next leg of the run would we be able to do that?  I looked at the map and it looks like from Las Cruces to Odessa it is only a 4 hours differance for our ride home.

I already know the answer to this question but is it worth it for us to add that extra day on?  Is there anything that stands out in anyones mind on that leg between NM and Odessa?  I think we can still make it back to San Diego by Sunday.  I just need to pitch the idea to the other half and want some good info.

Fallout, since each leg is important to some that is a hard question to answer.  I will tell you as stated above I would ba shame to miss Odessa and the dinner at Too Tall's & Too Small's.  And this year we have a wedding to boot!  There is also a night visit to the memorial there that is break taking.  GO to Odessa if you can!

Sorry if I wasnt clear on my question.  I think all legs are equally important for the mission and know anywhere we turn back will be heartbreaking.  I look forward the ATW trip and we will be with you in spirit this year.

I meant was the four hour ride back acurate or is their something in that part of the ride I dont know about.  I assume its all freeway and he and I can get about 200 miles out of our bikes so we wont have to stop as much.  Since I have never been there I can only look at a map which can be very deceaving (curvy road or a slow speed zone, etc).  We just need to be back in San Diego by Sunday so my boyfriend can catch a flight back to work on Monday.  We have ridden 11 hours in one day so if we have to put in a long day I dont mind.

Once you check in at registration you can drop out or continue on just let platoon leader know.
and registration so we can modify headcount for food.  the memorial in NM is awesome, as well as the night ride  Parmian Basin.

Fallout in regards to the ride back from Odessa, It is fairly straight forward, three of us , on the way back one year, left there at 6 AM (heat) and made it to Tucson by 3PM.

Fallout.............Welcome to you and your boyfriend to the Run For The Wall family. Hardcharger is right onabout leaving Odessa, reason to leave at 6am (5am CA) is to avoid the heat as it was first week in Jun. It's more than 4 hours back to Las Cruces even just the two of you, but that said, just the two of you riding will make much better time getting back to CA than with the pack. If boyfriends flight is Sunday evening, should be no problem. Too Talls, Too Smalls dinner is not to be missed, than the night ride to the Permian Basin Memorial is one to see as well. We also have one (possibly two) MIA daughters join us when we pull in.

Probably been mentioned; but if you breakdown; Do NOT just wave (like you are saying "HI"), we will just wave back. You have to wave like you need help (best is the two handed wave-- like you really need help). YOU MUST GET THE ATTENTION OF THE LAST MAN & THE CHASE TRUCKS! or you're on your own.

Looks like we are going to Odessa!  Do you think if I keep adding a day here a day there I can get us ATW?  He just said to me we cant go all the way we have to turn back this year Cry.

I know I will be putting my wings on to get home.  I told him everyone said we could make it back to San Diego no problem for his flight Sunday.  I told him what hardcharger said and we will just bust out our throttle paddles and ride.

I am so excited to meet you guys I am like that commercial staring into a window "Open Open Open".
