Corydon is my home town and I'm looking for suggestions on things that would be of help for C.R. riders while here. If you've been here for the overnight stop give me an idea of something that would have helped. Look forward to seeing everybody this year!

Well the first thing to do is to extend a hearty thank you to all the folks who show us one great welcome.  Between the meal, the boy scouts washing bikes, providing great place to camp and a town that basically makes us feel welcome not sure what else to say.

Corydon has always been the complete package for us... great hospitality, a wonderful dinner, abundant facilities.  The town has always made us feel welcome and right at home... what more could anyone ask?

Thanks for the good comments about Corydon, I know the local Tourism Director and Moose Lodge have always worked to make your stop a good one and the local people really look forward to the RFTW stop-over.

Great hearing from you. I have always loved visiting Corydon. The fish dinner is to die for. And I have always either camped under the grandstands or near some of the enclosures. Have tent, will plant anywhere. Take care and say hi to Billie

I agree that Corydon is great!!  A few years ago there were seven of us coming home from D.C. and we stopped in Corydon.  It was pouring rain and we were looking for a private campground.  We ended up going back to the fairgrounds and the guys there let us put our tents under the grandstand.  It poured and stormed all night yet with us being under the grandstands we were not only dry but got to sit up and chat about our adventures that day.  The people in Corydon are awesome and I just wanted to share how they welcomed us even after the run was over.

One issue, why hasn't Corydon shared their method of hospitality with other towns on the route? Kidding if course, Corydon is a highlight of the CR run!!! I know when we hit Indiana for our last stop of the day, it will be great and we can just have a good meal, a good nights rest, great LEO support and fantastic citizens! I doff my hat to Corydon!

We ride down there as much as we can during the summer!!  Great town!

If they open up The Dock this year(not sure if it opened last year or not) is a great place to get a cold brew and a burger(etc) and sit and watch the river(about 100 ft awy).  Its right below the Overlook Rest. and both are good, I just prefer the one on the river, and lots of bikers hit that place. Really friendly!
(I hope they do open back up)

Good riding in southern Indiana!!

Gallupe, I'm hoping to go ATW this year again if I can get away long enough. I'm pretty certain the OldWing will make it from Rancho to DC one more time but Corydon to Rancho to DC & back may be a stretch. Shoot the bike may be a lot more ready for that trip than the rider is. If I can't get away early, I'll probably head west from Indian when the RFTW heads east from Californina and try to hool up somewhere in between. Maybe Angelfire or Kansas.

Looking forward to seeing you and everybody else again this year! CAN'T WAIT!!!!

Well in about 20 Hours the lucky ones will be kickstand up & heading out of Rancho. I had hoped to make ATW this year but trying to pay the bills has jumped in the way. :-( Looks like now I'll be joining in Corydon for the last few legs of the mission.

I just traded info with the local Tourism Director, Jim Epperson, and he said all the plans for your Corydon stopover are comming together well. I know there are a lot of folks here that look forward to your arrival. Please travel safely and enjoy your mission for POW / MIA awareness.

CYA at the Corydon Fairgrounds next Tuesday.

Not the same. My only involvement with RFTW has been as a rider since 2008.
