Hmmm....IF I can get some things worked out this evening or tomorrow, would it be possible for a CR Tigger to attend?  Wink  Surely someone on that long list of attendees will vouch for me.  Then again...maybe I don't want the people on that list vouching for me.  Tongue  Like I said, it's just a possibility.  My ATW FNG year was technically 2010, but I rode last year and I'll be helping out on CR registration this year.  I think it'll give me some good ideas of what to expect from FNGs and others, and how to help them and answer their questions!  I already booked a room (not under the block rate) just in case.  I'll just be caging in from an airport.

Don't have anything definite set.  Part of what I'm working on this evening, now that I'm home!  :D  Planning to come in on Friday and leave Sunday, if I can do it.

Yes if he can tolerate one more FNG I will be riding with them. I was in the Army for 9 years though and follow directions really well. I also have ridden for long enough to know to be quite and pay attention the the tail light in front of me, so I think I'll be ok. (I lied about the quiet part too!)

Quiet isn't a word I associate with most of this crowd, so no worries there!  You're good...as long as you don't fixate on that tail light.  :)

HarleyRG & Wife....You are very welcome to ride over with us. I spent 3 years active Army and 6 years in the National Guard. I understand that. We will stage at the Cracker Barrel at Oats and 635 on the east side of Dallas on Saturday March 31. I will post the details this weekend. I look forward to meeting you and your wife.

Tigger... Bring it on. You are always welcome. I hope it works out for you. If you have issues getting things set up, shoot me an email at rlwyatt55@yahoo.com if I can help you. Shreveport's airport is not very large so your options on times might be limited.

Looks like a very good group taking shape, 37 for the meeting. Leaving Dallas with around 16 and picking up 3 in Longview. Nice group for the ride east.

Outback is willing to work with us on such a large group. They are next door to the hotel.

Thanks Jere. We still had a few rooms left in the block when we did the pre-ride on March 10th. Tigger, HarleyRG, check to see if any are still available and take advantage of the group rate if you want. The group coming from Dallas will only be staying Saturday night.

First, I got a one of the block rooms, thank you very much! Second I have been riding for a couple of years with the Patriot Guard in pretty tight formations - This will be the longest I have ever had to pay attention to anything though.

HarleyRG,

My 2 cents worth...............

First, I look forward to seeing you in Shreveport.

Are you on 2 wheels or 3? I am on 3 wheels.

Last year was my FNG year from Grand Prairie to DC and I had also been with PGR processions previous. You just have to keep it tight just like they encourage in PGR formations and ALWAYS pay attention to those in front of you and never look at people on bridges or on the side of the road. Wave at them, just don't take your eyes off of your business to do it. It was more stressful it seemed because you were in formation for longer periods of time than in PGR. You should be fine though. Just listen and learn. Start in the back of the formation if you can. I know, you will be dealing with the rubber band effect but it is a good place to start. By the second or third day I had learned to keep it tight and started moving up in the formation. You will start out with a huge advantage having ridden in processions before.

Papa,

The dilema is I ride my 2 wheeeler and my wife rides her 3. She is not comfortable in tight formation for long time so she doesn't want to drive and I don't what to put her in a situation where she is not comfortable riding. She will ride with me,  but now it becomes a space issue. My Road Glide will not hold as much luggage as her trike so I will be on 3 wheels to accomodate her. I could add all kinds of sarcastic comments about packing light here but have learned over the years it just isn't worth it and I have already lost the battle.

Nighttrain. Wish I could make it to the Prerun but too many irons in the fire, so will not be able to attend. I know I'm going to miss a great weekend but everyone be safe and enjoy a good fellow ship.

HarleyRG, Don't be worried about riding too close on a 3 wheeler! We are in the rear and pretty much control our own riding rules for safety! In fact you can ride your bike and she can ride her trike! But, the trike's are in a separate platoon who's leader is Lois Ashby, who has ridden all over the nation and will take good care of your wife! And you can carry what you what and she can do the same. We can always find a solution! I will be in Bossier City so we can get together and keep you and her very happy! Glad to have you with us!Big smileThumbs Up

Looking forward to meeting many new friends next weekend. This is just the beginning of a new adventure for us. I appreciate all the kindnesses extended by brothers I don't even know yet.
