Welcome back to California Raven!
Don't know if we know each other or not Raven, but I never pass up a drink from a Texan.
In '08 when I first started as California Coordinator, I made the mistake of riding at Cowboy's side for a few states when he was RC.  Folks were always confusing the two of us because of the black hats, although he's uglier and I'm the one who has to carry a comb.  We're both Air Force though, so it's all good.

I just wanted to let you know that we got word that Navajo Code Talker, Mr. Samuel, Tso passed away earlier this evening. One of the last things that Mr. Tso wanted to do was to attend the Trail of Honor event one more time. We had airline tickets ordered and hotel reservations made but he had to cancel just a few days ago due to his failing health. Mr. Tso was a great friend to many of our event volunteers and became an intergral part of our Trail event family. He will be greatly missed by everyone who had the honor and pleasure to meet him. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2AsM97EspyY

Left Stafford, VA, yesterday morning at 0230 and spent 23 hours on the road (including one time change and a 2-hour nap in Roanoke) and made it safely into Texarkana to meet up with Speedy and Pooh late last night!  Pooh stayed up to make sure I made it in alright and give me some much needed hugs.  I was DETERMINED to make Gunner's BBQ today!!  LOL   1,106 miles - everything from here on out will be easy day (for driving, anyway)!  Looking forward to seeing everyone.  Safe travels to all!

Thanks for the update Too Tall. Hey if it means we get rain around Abilene I'll ride naked and let to the wind dry me. If it's raining when we come through don't let the ladies get to close to the windows. For goodness sake I don't want to scare any of them.

Ok apparently the site of me naked scared the rain gods into sending the rain that was in Odessa over to us so everyone can breath easy now. Best rain we've had in quite awhile. Makes me wonder what else I might be able to bargin for by threating to get naked......ummm.

Had a FANTASTIC time at Gunner's!!  Many thanks to him and Peggy for the BBQ and good company.  Great to see everyone.

I was sad to leave the group behind in Weatherford yesterday.  Had to push on to make AZ today.  Made it to El Paso last night (well, early this a.m.) and moving on shortly.  Can't wait to greet you all coming into RC on Sunday!!!  Safe travels!
