Thank you for the history Sir Dutch,  I am honered just to know it and to understand the foundations of this nobel group of riders.... I have said before to Cowboy, now I will say it more clearly to all of you.... I do not want to lead this group, nor do I wish to rename any part of it... I will be my honor, and greatly appreciated to ride west with all of  you....

anyhow  CCDR easily gets confused with CCR and I can't play an instrument for the life of me, can drive, ride, and support our troops... but bow out of the leading till another time and place

I only offered to draw a patch if needed let me know.. see you on the road with the ruber on the asphalt... and will be honered to join both routes and help in any way I can
Freedom is a fragile thing and is never more than one generation away from extinction. It is not ours by inheritance; it must be fought for and defended constantly by each generation. Thanks SheWolf

Cowboy.... I have had that same reaction myself when I agree with Sparky. LOL I have come to realize that there are much worse things that I could do. She does make sense when you listen to her.

It is a shame that Airborne won't we able to join us. That would be a hoot.

One thing about CDR, there are many capable leaders in the group. Egos are not allowed. We do whatever is needed to get the group safely to RC and then to Washington DC.

See you in May my friend.

Cowboy,  Still early but I'll make a list and get a count for reservations at La Posta.  I don't remember but seems like we left Weatherford with close to 30 and had 51 at La Posta.
All CDR riders please post here  with where you will be joining.

Nighttrain; I'm in for dinner. Will start at Gunners in Wyllie, TX if that's still on, otherwise at the Iron Skillet in Weatherford.

Speedy; If your intrested in going the way we did from Odessa last year, I can get the directions from Mojo and we'll see how many others might want to go that way. Maby we can meet up with Cowboy and he can take us the back way around El Paso again.
For those that fought for it, freedom has a taste that the protected will never know.

Crackerjack - I'm with you on the ride as last year. I think that was Pecos where we left the group. Get the routes from Mo-Jo if you can.

Cowboy - are you up to leading us through El Paso like you did last year?

My ride plan for for May.
5/9 going I-40 to Little Rock, I-30 to Texarkana, TX, staying at the Quality Inn, 5210 N. State Line Ave. Anyone that would like to meet up along the way please let me know.
5/10 leave Texarkana for Weatherford, with stops at Gunner's for Bar-B-Q.

I will be riding 2 up with Pooh, pulling my trailer. We welcome any and all to ride with us.

Crackerjack:

From the gas stop in Pecos, take US285 North to FM-652 (at a little place called Orla) where you turn left.  Stay on FM-562 to US-62/US-180 where, again, you'll turn left.  About nine (9) miles after turning onto US-62, you'll come to a nice rest area where we took a short break last year.  It's roughly 90 miles from Pecos to the rest area.  Leaving the rest area, continue West through the Guadalupe Pass and stay on US-62/180 clear to the QuikSilver Exxon station at Krag Street where Cowboy could meet y'all.  If memory serves, it's about 190 miles from Pecos to QuikSilver Exxon, so no peanut tanks on this trip.  I think speedy was on reserve (towing a trailer) when he reached the Exxon.

Sure wish Mojo & I could be part of CDR this year, but we'll see ya in Rancho on Sunday.

Crackerjack: correction to the above, that should be FM-652 to US-62/180, out of Pecos....

Crackerjack/Speedy..........Will be honored to meet y'all at the QuikSilver Exxon and lead you around El Paso to Las Cruces. I believe Wicked called me from a rest area near the Guadalupe Mtns. If y'all can do the same, or within 45 mins of your target time at the Exxon, it will give me a heads up and I can meet you at the Exxon.

Wicked/Speedy; Got it! Looks easy enough on the map. Will post more about the lack of gas and such as the time gets closer.

Cowboy; Thanks! If you could e-mail me your phone number at the above address, I'll put it in my phone and call you as Wicked did last year. COME ON MAY!
