I just want to post that several of us are leaving out Sunday riding to Monroe LA to wait on the riders to arrive and to join the run there. I live just outside of Jackson MS and very close to I20. If anyone is heading to Monroe to join the ride and are coming this way they are more than welcome to stay the night and ride in with us on Sunday. I know Cherryboy and hopefully his brother are heading this way and will be staying with us. As it stands now there will be 5 of us leaving out Sunday for the ride over. Nothing fancy here, just a place to crash, shower, and as we love to do in Mississippi....eat.....lol
Also, if you would like to join us along the way just let me know and we will set up a stop to meet you.

What time Sunday are you heading out? I am gonna leave central Florida hopefully Saturday AM. Not gonna try to push it that far, prolly stop somewhere around Mobile and head out again Sunday morning.

We will probably not head out to early as once there we will just end up sitting around till the riders some in. The leave time has not been set yet so see if you can figgure an ETA and let me know.

Caliber1, if you take hy 98 from mobile it will turn into hy49 in Miss. You can stay on it till you get to with in a mile of my house in Pearl, Ms. Take the I20 exit east and go to the next exit, I will give you my phone number and we can meet you there and show you to the house. Mobile is about 4 hrs from us, depending on stops

As you know I have decided to join the ride in Monroe instead of trying ATW this year. I have sent an email to Road Dawg to see if he wants to join me. I am leaving on the morning of the 20th and plan on riding the Natchez Trace from Nashville down to Jackson...per your suggestion. If you and Go For want to meet that would be great. Haven't talked to my riding partner as to if he plans ATW or not. Listen, anyone wanting to join me is more than welcome and I can speak for Rags when I say you'll be welcome in Jackson with open arms.....Haven't heard much from NightTrain since his episode with the text messaging Mama so maybe he is still cleaning his pants. Hey Cherryboy, just let me know what time you hit the trace and GoFur, me and hopefully my son in law will head north to meet ya along the trace. I sure hope it works out for Terry to join you also. We might be picking a rider up from Florida on Sunday to make the ride over with us.
Nighttrain is fine, I just wish that texting Mama would have not taken that turn off as I had a few more interesting things to say to her...lol
Hopefully you will pick up some riders heading to Monroe also and we will throw air beds all over the place here, might even open up the Red Kneck Inn for the night to sleep some.

Wish I could go to RC with ya'll, but I think maybe baby steps are better for this year. Don't want to end up in the hospital again. I may some day make it ATW but I want you to know, if that never happens that will just fine with me....I'm looking for DC, and my family will be there with me if I ride from RC or Monroe. |

Cherry Boy, I understand completely what your saying. I wish I could go ATW but it will be years for me before I have a chanse to do that due to time off work. I am gratefull for a boss at work who is allowing me to take two weeks off this year as they usually only allow 1 week at a time. LOL by the time I get to retire I might be doing the chase vehicle on the run in my handycap truck, but hey I am shooting to do it all one day anyway I can.

Caliber1 sounds good to me, acually I think you can make Jackson in about 3 hrs depending on how long you take at gas stops, but anyway no hurry as it will probably be early afternoon when we leave out. You might think of getting an early start from Mobile and that way you will have some rest time at the house prior to leaving for Monroe.

Still in the planning stages. In case anybody didn't put two and two together, CommoDog is my OLDER brother from Texas. Depending on how early I get out of here on Saturday, I may just try to haul it all the way in to Pearl. We'll see.

I would like to add that anyone passing through Tuscaloosa either planning on ATW or meeting anywhere for the run is welcome to stop in at the house and either rest a bit or eat or just hang out.....I have to work the Saturday before Monroe, and have a ministry weekend on that sunday so I won't be going to LA much less ATW this year. Those travelling through Tuscaloosa are welcome to give me a call or text....(205)826-6651
